As your experience at The Point is going to be so unique, we would really like to personally discuss the details with you: please call our reservations staff, so we can be sure that we fully anticipate all your needs, and exceed your expectations!

ALL INCLUSIVE RATES

Our nightly room rates are all-inclusive for two people, with carte blanche use of sports equipment and facilities, as well as three meals, afternoon tea, unlimited wine, liquor, and liqueurs from help-yourself bars open 24 hours a day. In addition to the rate there is an 18% service charge and New York State sales tax of 8% These are 2007 rates and are subject to change without notice.

TIPPING

Unless a specific personal service has been rendered by our staff, tipping is unnecessary. Thus, the only additional charges are a 18% service charge and the compulsory 8% N.Y. State sales tax.

DRESS

Jackets and ties are customary for all evenings, and black tie is suggested, but not required, on Wednesday and Saturday Evenings. Bring casual sports clothes, sturdy boots for walking, sneakers for the boats and warm gloves, hats and ski jackets for the winter. Whatever the season, bring sweaters as the night air can be crisp. Robes, slippers, hair dryers and irons are available in every room.

CHILDREN

Children under 18 are not suitable guests due to the dinner party atmosphere each evening. Our guests come to relax in the peace and serenity which is such a special feature of The Point. Exceptions are made when one group books the entire facility for a private party. Children over 14 years of age are welcome at our sister property, The Lake Placid Lodge.

ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES

There are no predetermined check-in/check-out times at The Point. If guests arrive in time for lunch, we will have their room ready when lunch is finished; and we will expect they will leave before lunch on their departure date. If you are staying for lunch on your departure date, and we have new guests arriving in your room, we simply ask that your room be vacated by noon. You're more than welcome to stay and enjoy The Point well into the afternoon.

SPECIAL CELEBRATIONS

Many guests have found The Point a wonderful place to celebrate special times with family and friends. If you let us know ahead of time, we'll bake something for the occasion or order favorite flowers. There are many opportunities to reserve the entire property. Especially in the winter.

MASSAGE SERVICES

We can arrange an in-room massage for you with experienced local massage therapists. Should you wish to enjoy a massage during your visit, please contact our office staff and they will be happy to check availability for massage. Massages are 125.00 per hour per person. The massage therapists require 24 hours notice of cancellation.

GUIDES

If you're interested in hiring an Adirondack guide to take you fishing, hunting or perhaps animal tracking on a hiking tour, we can recommend a guide service. Advance reservations are necessary, so please contact us as soon as possible.

VISITING

In order to assure privacy and a restful atmosphere for our guests, we regret that visiting is not permitted. We regret that all drop-ins must be turned away at the gate.
