Algonquin
ALGONQUIN - The Main Lodge
Algonquin is the original library of the camp. It is a very cozy, warm room with a queen-size bed, a comfortable couch and chair for reading in front of the fire or just enjoying the view from your window. With bookshelves stocked over the years, this room has a very special feel to it. Algonquin has views of the lake and mountains to the east and its own door leading outside. While the bathroom has no tub, it boasts The Point's most remarkable shower, that will give you the feeling of standing under a waterfall.
Evensong
EVENSONG - The Guest House
The Rockefellers' bedroom in their later years, Evensong is warm and inviting and filled with light. It has a king or twin-size beds (your preference), a fieldstone fireplace in a windowed alcove and overstuffed chairs. This wonderfully comfortable, spacious room has soft and mellow pine tones, views to the north and south and a mirrored dressing table. The bath has all original tile and chrome and a fully glassed-in tub and shower.
Iroquois
IROQUOIS - The Main Lodge
Iroquois was originally built for William Rockefeller's daughter. This room is furnished with a queen-size bed which faces a large fieldstone fireplace. A private door leads directly to a hammock overlooking the water. There is also a walk-in closet with a full-length mirror. Wing chairs flank the fireplace, and bookcases are filled with period novels. With an original bathroom, Iroquois has its own special ambiance.
Lookout
LOOKOUT - Eagle's Nest
Lookout is a private, romantic retreat lined in pine, with rich furnishings, and colors. French doors open on to a private deck...a raised king-sized bed faces stunning lake views across this deck. The bathroom is equipped with double marble sinks, and in place of a tub, a steam shower for two. The enchantment of early morning coffee, afternoon tea, or cocktails under the stars make this a much requested room.
Mohawk
MOHAWK - The Main Lodge
The original master bedroom, Mohawk is a favorite of many guests. Perhaps the most secluded of all rooms, it has a cathedral ceiling, a king-size bed, a large stone fireplace and beautiful views of the lake and surrounding mountains. There is a private door leading directly outside to its own sitting area, as well as one that opens to the Main Lodge. The bathroom retains its original fixtures, including a large bathtub; there is also a walk-in closet with a full-length mirror. A writing desk and a couch by the window complete the atmosphere of rustic elegance.
Morningside
MORNINGSIDE - The Main Lodge
The most spectacular sunrises light the pine-paneled walls of Morningside, the end room in the south wing. A cathedral ceiling arches over a king or twin-size bed (your preference) and a comfortable sitting area in front of a large fireplace. Enjoy breakfast beside the window looking east over the lake toward the mountains. This is a very spacious room, full of light. The bathroom has a bathtub and shower with original fixtures.
Saranac
SARANAC - The Guest House
Saranac is a luxurious fir-paneled room, with an over-sized king bed; a gigantic stone fireplace facing the bed, and glass sliding doors to the private patio overlooking the lake. Saranac has a cathedral ceiling, rich warm colors and a real Great Camp feel. A large bathroom, with a double soaking tub and double shower, along with lawn views to the croquet lawn.
Sentinel
SENTINEL - Eagle's Nest
Sentinel is a very large two-room suite with views in all directions. It is furnished with a king-size bed which, with its tree-trunk posts, seems to grow out of the floor. Sentinel has our most sumptuous bathroom, black-marbled and tiled, with a huge shower, double soaking tub and mirrors that seem to go on forever. Next to the bathroom is a large, well-appointed dressing room. There is a sitting/breakfast room with a stone fireplace and a door to a private deck with expansive lake views.
Boathouse
THE BOATHOUSE
The Boathouse has one guest room, which is directly above the boats and water. Originally the playroom, the Boathouse has a king size white - canopied bed in the center of the room, as well as two swinging beds suspended from the ceiling on the wrap around deck outside. The Boathouse has a panoramic view and two separate sitting areas. One looks out at the lake; the other faces the immense stone fire-place. Another alcove serves as a dressing room and farther along one will find a table, small refrigerator and fully stocked bar, perfect for private candlelit dinners. The Boathouse's large bathroom features a double-soaking tub and oversized shower. The ultimate in "camping out," our most popular room. Available mid-April through October.
Trappers
TRAPPERS - Eagle's Nest
Trappers, as its name implies, has a very rustic, Adirondack atmosphere, like a cabin in the woods. A king-size bed flanked by birch trees complements this room paneled with native rough pine. A log wall lined with windows provides a wonderful view of the lake. A large walk-in closet/dressing room and a pine and slate bathroom with a soaking tub are just a few of its features that a trapper probably never enjoyed. Camp in comfort in front of a blazing fire. A most rustic but extraordinarily cozy room.
Weatherwatch
WEATHERWATCH - The Guest House
Sumptuous and vast, Weatherwatch has a king-size bed, large sitting area, cathedral ceiling, huge picture window and not only a walk-in closet but a walk-in fireplace. It has a wonderful bathroom which retains its original black slate double sinks. A private exit leads to a large stone deck below and a nearby hammock. Treat yourself to splendor and spaciousness.
